Google’s Android OS Is 4 Years Old

On the 5th of November 2007 the first version of Google’s mobile OS was introduced, Android 1.1 Cupcake, and now fours years later Google’s Android OS has become hugely popular.

There are more than 190 million devices, which includes smartphones and tablets running Google’s Android OS, and Google activates over 550,000 new Android devices each day.

I wonder if Google ever though that Android would become so popular, and it will be interesting to see how the platform is developed over the next 4 years.
